Ferdinand Himpele

Ferdinand Jakob Himpele (born August 21, 1912 in Strasbourg in Alsace , † July 25, 1970 in Bonn ) was a German journalist and newspaper scholar.

Himpele wrote his dissertation in 1936 on The Satire in Alsace with a special focus on political satire (1907-1935) . He was a member of the Frankfurt press conference from 1948 to 1949 and the sixth chairman of the federal press conference from 1954 to 1956 . Himpele also worked as a business journalist for the Hamburger Allgemeine Zeitung , the Mannheimer Morgen and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung .
