Ferdinand Lepié
Ferdinand Lepié , also Ferdinand Lepgé (born June 8, 1824 in Prague , † November 11, 1883 in Vienna ) was an Austrian landscape and history painter .
Life
Lepié studied at the Prague Academy of Fine Arts from 1841-1844 . 1850-1860 he was a teacher in Strahov Monastery in Prague. One of his students was the later landscape painter Alois Kirnig . He then moved to Vienna and gave drawing lessons at the imperial court .
meaning
Lepié created topographically precise landscapes of Prague and Austrian regions such as the Salzkammergut , the Danube and Baden near Vienna .
