Alois Kirnig
Alois Kirnig (born June 10, 1840 in Prague ; † January 25, 1911 there ) was a German-Bohemian landscape painter .
Life
Alois Kirnig was a student of the landscape painter Ferdinand Lepié from 1854 . He then studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague with Max Hausmann and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich with Eduard Schleich . Study trips took him through Bohemia , Germany and Italy . In 1866 Kirnig founded his own school for landscape painting in Prague, which was attended by Cuno von Bodenhausen and Robert Guttmann , among others . He participated in exhibitions in Prague, Dresden , Munich and Vienna .
meaning
Alois Kirnig was a real mood enthusiast who mainly created landscapes in the footsteps of Max Hausmann. He created numerous landscape pictures from the Bohemian countries, alpine pictures and views of Italy, as well as still lifes .
