Neuludwigsdorf (also called puddle ) is a district of Bromskirchen in the Waldeck-Frankenberg district in northern Hesse .

Neuludwigsdorf lies on the eastern slope of the Rothaargebirge in the Hinterländer Ederbergland belonging Elbrighäuser Wald on a forested areas surrounded and agricultural plateau which on the Nitzelbach to Eder is dewatered. You can reach it at about 565 m above sea level. NN located village via the county road 123 from about 3 km ( air line ) northeast of Bromskirchen or, among other things, via a forest path that begins at the western hamlet of Dachsloch .

history
In 1774, on the order of Landgrave Ludwig VIII of Hesse-Darmstadt, the settlement in the middle of the landgrave's forests was carried out. The first six settlers came from Bromskirchen . At first they had the task of maintaining the area rich in game for the count's hunt. In addition to this task, the first residents worked as charcoal burners and farmers. Today there are still a few farmers on a sideline. The main source of income is tourism.
