history

Dachsloch, formerly also called Daxloch, is still a relatively young place. Settlement began in the middle of the 17th century and the first settlers were charcoal burners from Bromskirchen . In 1676, the charcoal maker and farmer Peter Klein managed the Förster farm in Alertshausen in addition to his work in the Dachsloch . Today the inhabitants live from agriculture and tourism.
