The settlement is about nine kilometers from Bad Berleburg in the southeast of the Rothaargebirge . The village is located between 460 and 650 meters above sea level, the surrounding mountains are up to 674 meters high. The Elsoff stream flows through the village and forms the border with North Rhine-Westphalia . Behind it is the district of Diedenshausen (Bad Berleburg) , from which the legal scholar Johannes Althusius comes.

Seibelsbach is still quite a young place. The settlement is closely connected with the village of Diedenshausen in the Wittgensteiner Land . Both places are only separated by the Elsoffbach. With the beginning of the first settlement over 250 years ago, the settlement belongs to the Hessian Bromskirchen. The watchmaking trade has a long tradition here .
