Ferdinand Ludwig Frege
Ferdinand Ludwig Frege (often Ludwig Frege ; * July 6, 1804 in Berlin , † July 6, 1883 in Schöneberg near Berlin) was a German Protestant theologian and historian .
Life
The father Johann Christoph Frege (1750-1829) was a master tailor in Berlin, the mother was Sophie, née Göricke (1777-1815). Ludwig Frege attended the Gymnasium zum Grauen Kloster in Berlin and studied theology at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität . He was ordained in 1829. Frege was initially the tutor of Princes Adalbert and Waldemar of Prussia . In 1835 he was appointed castle preacher in Schwedt and Küstrin .
Since 1845 Ludwig Frege was pastor in Schöneberg and Lankwitz, at that time near Berlin. In 1864 the Twelve Apostles Congregation was founded in his district , for which he created the first church book. Ludwig Frege was the first pastor in Schöneberg until his death in 1883. He was buried in the Alt-Schöneberg community cemetery.
On April 29, 1884, Fregestraße was named after him, which is now in the Berlin districts of Schöneberg and Friedenau.

Ludwig Frege was married to Caroline Marie Wolf (Wolff). Children were
- Maria Gertrud Frege (1840–1841)
- Hedwig Maria Gertrud Frege (1841–1922), married Abel and Neumann, after her Hedwigstrasse in Schöneberg was named
- Franz Friedrich Konrad Frege (1843–1920) became a lawyer
- his son Wolfgang Christian Ludwig Frege (1884–1964) first president of the Federal Administrative Court, his grandson Andreas Frege (Campino, * 1962) a well-known rock singer
