Ferdinand Müller (1859-1944)

Ferdinand Müller (born August 16, 1859 in Aichach ; † February 6, 1944 there ) was a Bavarian politician and member of the state parliament of the Center and the Bavarian People's Party .

Life

Müller learned the tanning trade, became a red tanner and made it up to the 1st chairman of the Bavarian Tannery Association. Here he was also a trade council and a member of the leather industry's supervisory committee.

He began his political career as a member of the community college (1891–1902), then he was a magistrate (1902–1919) in Aichach. From 1913 to 1919 he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Bavarian State Parliament as the successor to the late Johann Cadau for the center . From 1919 to 1928 he was a member of the Aichach and Aichach-Friedberg constituencies for three electoral terms. He was a founding member of the Bavarian People's Party, founded in November 1918.

Müller was married to Viktoria Deuringer († 1922) and had two sons and a daughter Maria (married Haselberger): His son Vincenz Müller became a high officer in the German Wehrmacht and in the National People's Army of the GDR.

Müller died at the age of 84 on February 6, 1944 in Aichach.
