Ferdinand Schuech

Ferdinand Schuech was an Austrian national table tennis player with an active time from the 1930s to the 1950s. In 1939 he finished second at the German championships. He participated in at least four world championships .

Career

After Austria was annexed to Germany in 1938, Ferdinand Schuech took part in German tournaments. In 1937 he won the Germany Cup with the Ostmark team in Breslau . At the German Championship in 1939 in Frankfurt am Main, he reached the individual final, which he lost to his compatriot Otto Eckl .

After the Second World War he became active again for Austria. In the 1940s he played for the club Schwarz-Weiß Wien. In 1950 he became Austrian master in mixed with Steinemer. There are also a total of three second places, in 1946 in a mixed with Ottilie Graszl , in 1951 in a double with Heinrich Bednar and in 1954 in a double with Karl Wegrath .

With the Austrian team, he won bronze at the 1947 World Cup . In 1949 and 1950 he came in 7th place with the team, and 13th in 1951 .
