Ferdinand Siebert (District Administrator)

Ferdinand Siebert (born May 22, 1912 in Neu-Ulm , † 2000 in Munich ) was a German local politician .

Life

Siebert went to school in Neu-Ulm and Illertissen and then studied in Heidelberg , Tübingen and Munich . He completed his studies as a graduate in economics and received his doctorate for Dr. rer. pole. He then worked as a teacher in various places. In 1938 he joined the NSDAP , but did not appear as a party member. From 1941 to 1945 he taught at the municipal high school for girls in Ingolstadt . After the war he was one of the founding members of the CSU in the Neu-Ulm district. On April 29, 1946, he was elected 1st Mayor of Neu-Ulm. Shortly afterwards (28 May 1946) he became district administrator of the district of Neu-Ulm . This double mandate was only permitted for a few months: Siebert resigned from the office of mayor in August 1946. In the meantime Siebert had joined the Free Voters' Association. In June 1948 he lost the election as district administrator to Georg Köhl and returned to school as director of the Neu-Ulm secondary school. From 1952 to 1960 he was district administrator for the district of Kempten (Allgäu) . In 1959 Siebert switched to teaching in Munich, a. a. to the Gisela-Gymnasium . He retired in 1977 and died in Munich in 2000.
