Franz Schick (politician)

Franz-Josef Schick (born November 5, 1936 in Ellzee ) is a former German politician ( CSU ). From 1970 to 1974 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . From 1974 to 1996 he was District Administrator of the Neu-Ulm .

Life

Schick attended the humanistic high school in Günzburg , which he left with the Abitur in 1956. After studying for two years at the Institute for Teacher Training in Augsburg , he was a teacher at the primary schools in Ay an der Iller and Mattsies from 1958 to 1962 . He later trained as a secondary school teacher and completed additional studies in German, art education and technical drawing. After completing this course, he worked as a teacher at the state secondary schools in Burgau and Neu-Ulm . Schick was a schoolteacher, belonged to the Catholic Educational Community and was chairman of the Working Group of Young Educators in Swabia and of the Parish Council in Burgau.

In 1959 he joined the CSU or the Junge Union . At the JU he was district chairman first in the district of Günzburg , later in the district association of Neu-Ulm-Stadt und -Land. In 1970 he was elected to the Bavarian State Parliament in the district of Illertissen, Neu-Ulm-Stadt und -Land (today district of Neu-Ulm ). After the death of Neu-Ulm District Administrator Max Rauth, he was elected as his successor. Elisabeth Schnell took over his state parliament mandate for the remaining electoral term .
