Thorsten Freudenberger

Thorsten Freudenberger (* 1973 ) is a German local politician ( CSU ). He has been the district administrator of the Neu-Ulm district since May 1, 2014 .

Life

Freudenberger spent his school days and youth in Vöhringen and Bellenberg . After graduating from the Illertal-Gymnasium Vöhringen, he studied German, history and political science at the University of Augsburg . After his legal clerkship in Munich and Schwabmünchen (1999-2001) he taught at the Bertha-von-Suttner-Gymnasium in Neu-Ulm . When he was elected as district administrator, he was senior teacher.

politics

Freudenberger joined the Junge Union and was its local chairman in Vöhringen from 1991 to 1999, district chairman in the Neu-Ulm district from 1999 to 2005 and then district chairman in Swabia from 2005 to 2009 . He has been chairman of the CSU in the Neu-Ulm district since 2009. In 2002 he was elected to the city council of Vöhringen (member until January 2014) and the Neu-Ulm district council (until April 2014). From 2008 to 2014 he was also chairman of the CSU district parliamentary group. In the district election on March 16, 2014 , he received 58.5% of the votes and took office on May 1, 2014.

Honorary positions

Freudenberger works in the areas of church, politics and sport. Since 2004 he has been chairman of the Neu-Ulm sports group in the Bavarian State Sports Association . In October 2016 he was elected chairman of the Friends of the Roggenburg Monastery .

Private

Freudenberger is married and has one son. He lives in Nersingen , Unterfahlheim district.
