Ferdinand von Piloty
Ferdinand von Piloty (the younger) (born October 9, 1828 in Munich ; † December 21, 1895 , ibid) was a painter , fresco artist and illustrator.
Ferdinand von Piloty, brother of Karl von Piloty , trained at the local academy and with his brother-in-law Karl Schorn and later worked mainly under the influence of his older brother, whose coloristic direction he followed. He executed a number of historical frescoes in the National Museum in Munich and in the town hall in Landsberg am Lech .
The tomb of Ferdinand von Piloty the Younger is on the old southern cemetery in Munich (burial site 13 - Row 2 - # 1) Location . He lies there with his father Ferdinand Piloty the elder.
He painted the oil painting for the Maximilianeum in Munich:
