Ferdinand Franz Josef Reichsfreiherr von dem Bongart (born January 18, 1773 in Düsseldorf ; † June 2, 1850 at Paffendorf Castle ) was the treasurer of the Duchy of Jülich and a member of the provincial parliament in Rhineland .

Life

Ferdinand von dem Bongart was the son of the Jülischen Hereditary Chamberlain, Palatinate Chamberlain and manor owner Sigismund Reinhard Hugo Josef von dem Bongart (* 1744 - August 3, 1783) and his wife Maria Anna Augusta, born Countess von Leerodt (1747-1813). On January 25, 1880, he married Charlotte Wilhelmine Maria Anna Margarethe Freiin von Waldbott-Bassenheim-Bornheim (* July 25, 1776, † June 18, 1870). Ludwig von dem Bongart became heir to the title and family estate .

Ferdinand von dem Bongart was Jülischer Hereditary Chamberlain (newly awarded in Berlin on October 15, 1840). He lived as the owner of the manor at Paffendorf Castle and had been the owner of the Pfaffendorf, Bohlendorf and Heyden family entourage since November 3, 1845 .

In 1826 he was elected to the provincial parliament in the second curia in the constituency of Koblenz, but was represented there by Franz Ludwig Graf Beissel von Gymnich . From 1828 to 1830 he was a member of the second estate. In 1848 he signed the petition of the nobility to the Prussian National Assembly to maintain the nobility. He was a member of the art association for the Rhineland and Westphalia.
