Ferdinand of Solms-Hohensolms-Lich (1806–1876)

Ferdinand Prince zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich (* July 28, 1806 in Lich ; † August 15, 1876 ibid) was a German nobleman , major general and member of parliament .

Life

Ferdinand was born the third of four children of Prince Carl Ludwig August zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich (1762-1807) and Henriette Sophie, née Countess zu Bentheim and Steinfurt (1777-1851) in Lich.

progeny

He married Countess Caroline von Collalto and San Salvatore (1818–1855) in Pillnitz in 1836 . This marriage had six children:

  • Ludwig Anton zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich (April 8, 1851 - October 24, 1913)
⚭ 1885 Elisabeth Countess of Lynar (1864–1943).
