Hermann zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich

Prince Hermann Adolf zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich (born April 15, 1838 in Pirnitz , † September 16, 1899 in Lich ) was a German nobleman of the house of Solms-Hohensolms-Lich and a politician .

Life

Hermann was the eldest son of Prince Ferdinand zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich (1806–1876) and his wife Caroline, Countess of Collalto and San Salvatore (1818–1855). He attended high school in Marburg , then studied in Göttingen .

Hermann zu Solms-Hohensolms-Lich was a member of the first chamber of the state estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse as a Hessian landlord by virtue of the constitution from 1872 to 1874 and 1880 until his death in 1899 .

In the years from 1881 to 1899 he was also a member of the Prussian manor house . He was also a member of the Provincial Parliament of the Rhine Province .

He married Countess Agnes zu Stolberg-Wernigerode (1842–1904) in Jannowitz in 1865 , a daughter of General Wilhelm zu Stolberg-Wernigerode . From this marriage there were seven children:
