Ferdo Livadić
Ferdo Livadić (Wiesner) (born May 30, 1799 in Celje , † January 8, 1879 in Samobor ) was a composer .
Livadić played an essential role for the Illyrian movement , often inviting its most important personalities along with European celebrities such as Franz Liszt to his estate in Samobor. He himself composed numerous songs in Croatian, Slovenian and German, marches for piano and dances. With his work he paved the way for the national Croatian music of Vatroslav Lisinski and Ivan Zajc .
