Fernando Piña (born August 12, 1966 in Morelia , Michoacán ) is a retired Mexican football player in the position of goalkeeper who has been the goalkeeping coach of the Mexican U-20 national team since at least 2012 .

career

Piña was under contract for much of his career as a professional player with his hometown club Atlético Morelia , for which he only came to a total of 27 appearances in the Mexican Primera División . He made his debut in the top Mexican division on September 6, 1987 in a home game against Ángeles de Puebla , which was won 5-0. His last appearance in the first division he completed on November 22, 1998 in an away game at Club León (0-2), in which Piña was then under contract.
