Ferran Marín i Ramos

Ferrán Marín Ramos ( spelled Ferran Marín i Ramos in Catalan ) (* 1974 in Tarragona ) is a Spanish publisher and author. Marín writes his books in Aragonese , Spanish and Catalan.

Life

Ferran attended the boys' seminar of the Mercedarian Order in Reus , where he made his first writing experiences at the age of eleven and graduated from school in 1991. After the university preparation year in Zaragoza , he completed a social work degree from 1992 to 1995 at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in Tarragona. From 1995 to 2005 he worked as a planner for a logistics company . He then had various jobs in the logistics and hotel industry and gave further training courses at various educational institutions. At the same time, he has been an editor since 2003 and has been active in the preservation of monuments and cultural property since 2008 . He was a member of the Royal Tarraconian Archaeological Society and temporarily worked as a professional preservationist and cultural guide . He was particularly involved in the Israeli- Aragonese cultural exchange to maintain the Sephardic cultural heritage in his homeland. He also wrote non-fiction books, poems and historical novels . Ferran Marín is a member of the Aragonese Language Council ( Consello d'a Fabla Aragonesa ) and the Catalan Esperanto Association ( Associació Catalana d'Esperanto / Kataluna Esperanto Asocio ). Today he works as an independent vocational training consultant, leads further training measures and gives courses. He lives in the village of Constantí ( Tarragona province ).

Writing activity

In addition to his fascination for history and the mountains, writing is one of Ferran Marín's passions. In 1995 he published his thesis El Hospital de Constantí , a treatise on the history of the medieval poor house in his hometown, on which he had worked for two years. He then published other historical writings and in 1998 his first novel , Gastó de Constantí , which he wrote in Catalan and thus made it into the finals of the seventh edition of the Calafell literary competition ( VII Premis Literaris Municipi de Calafell ). Two years later he finished his second novel, Lorién de Borbuén , which is written in Aragonese and which he published in 2003 on the O Limaco Edizions platform, which he helped to organize . In addition to historical novels, he wrote poems which he found in the anthologies Suspiros y definiciones (Spanish, unpublished 1999) and Fabla! (Aragonese, Teruel 2000) compiled. The short story L'Arca de les Tres Claus / L'Arca d'as Tres Claus , published in 2008, was created as a bilingual (Catalan-Aragonese) contribution to the Pyrenees' Meeting of Writers ( XIV Trobada d'escritors en o Pirineo ). His book La Mora Encantada , published in Bulbuente ( Campo de Borja ) in 2014, is a dramatic adaptation of the legends of an old local saga . The following year he published a grammar of Jewish Spanish .
