The Roman Catholic branch church Maria am Berge is located on Holmberg northeast of Eberndorf within the cemetery. It belongs to the parish Eberndorf .

Building description

The late Gothic church was completed in 1538. The nave and choir have narrow, Gothic windows with tracery noses and are supported by slender, three-tiered buttresses . A sacristy is built on the north side . The baroque west tower presented is marked by a chronogram above the southern portal with 1703 and is crowned by an onion helmet. Two bells were cast by the Grassmayr bell foundry in Innsbruck in 1954 . The late Gothic arched portal in the west of the groin-vaulted tower ground floor is painted on the door wings with the monastery coat of arms.

In the three- bay hall, a looping rib vault rests on slender circular services . The three-axis west gallery stands on short columns. The choir with five-eighths is increased by two levels. A late Gothic portal with an iron plate door leads into the groin-vaulted sacristy.

Facility

The central niche of the high altar from 1780 contains a statue of a mother of God from the 19th century. On the side are the carved figures of the apostles Andreas and Johannes Nepomuk , in the essay God the Father and Angels. The left side altar shows Archangel Michael (1665) on the altar sheet and Antonius of Padua (1668) in the top picture . The painted around 1680 altarpiece of the right side altar represents Jude Thaddeus . The built around 1770/73 pulpit is attributed to Michael Zill and was 1780 Reiner Joseph Gottlieb taken . The four console statues from the 17th century represent the Jesuit saints Ignatius von Loyola , Franz Xaver , Franz von Borgia and Aloisius von Gonzaga . The church has a canvas painting of the Holy Family from 1665, a canvas painting of a Pietà from the 17th century and a painting Votive image of the Rohrmeister family from 1694 depicting the crucifixion and the Last Judgment . In the church there is the coat of arms grave slab of Johann Gottfried Ebner (1695), the grave monument of Johanna Elisabeth von Lerchenfeld (1685), priest gravestones (1688) and (1705) as well as two inscription stones from 1688.
