The Roman Catholic branch church Neuruppersdorf is consecrated to St. Mary, mother of Jesus in her function as a helper. She belongs to the deanery Laa-Gaubitsch in the vicariate Unter dem Manhartsberg of the Archdiocese of Vienna . The church is a listed building ( list entry ).

history

The subsidiary church on Anger of Neuruppersdorf was in place of the old and dilapidated 1903/1904 local chapel built and on 15 November 1904 consecrated .

architecture

The uniformly neo-Gothic building has a slightly drawn-in choir with a five-eighth end , buttresses and pointed arched windows . The west facade is flanked by struts with pinnacles . The slightly protruding façade tower with a pointed gable helmet and pointed-arch sound windows is accessible through a pointed arch portal, which is also the main portal of the church. The ribbed vault of the four-bay nave rests on half-columns with leaf capitals . There is a gallery on the west side . In the east a pointed triumphal arch leads into the choir. The church's stained glass windows are dated 1904.

Furnishing

The altar table was made in 1964 from the former marble sarcophagus of Saint Clement Maria Hofbauer . The altarpiece is a picture of Mariahilf from the end of the 18th century in an oval frame. Additional features include a Rieger organ from 1907 and stations of the Cross in relief from around 1900.
