The Fingertoppen ( Norwegian for fingertip; Japanese 天 指 し 峰 Tensasi-mine , German 'point that points to the sky' ) is a 1729 m high mountain in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . In the Sør Rondane mountains, it rises in the narrowest section of the Lunckeryggen .
Japanese cartographers mapped it on the basis of aerial photographs from the years 1981 to 1982 and 1986 as well as on the basis of surveys from the years 1984 and 1991. In 1988 they named it descriptively. Scientists at the Norwegian Polar Institute translated this name into Norwegian in 1989
