Hugo Spangenberg

Hugo Hernán Spangenberg (born November 22, 1975 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine chess player .

In 1995 Spangenberg was third at the U20 World Junior Championship in Halle behind Roman Slobodjan and Alexander Onischuk .

He won the Argentine individual championship in 1993 in Rosario . He played for Argentina at three Chess Olympiads : 1994 to 1998 .

In 1993 he became International Master , since 1996 he has been Grand Master . His highest rating was 2565 in July 1997.
