Finn Tearney (born September 27, 1990 in Auckland ) is a New Zealand tennis player .

Career

Tearney mainly plays on the ITF Future Tour , where he has won one singles and six doubles titles so far. In 2015 he made his debut in doubles on the ATP World Tour with a wildcard at his home tournament in Auckland at the Heineken Open . He lost with Wesley Whitehouse against Marcelo Melo and Max Mirny in the tie-breaker match . A year later he played again in the same tournament , this time also in doubles. He lost both opening games.

In 2016 he played against Pakistan for the New Zealand Davis Cup team for the first time . He won both of his individual games smoothly.
