The Finsterkarspitze is a 3029 m above sea level. A. high mountain peak of the Lasörling group in the Venediger group in East Tyrol ( Austria ). It is located in the north-west of East Tyrol on the municipal boundary between St. Jakob in Defereggen and Prägraten am Großvenediger . The Finsterkarspitze was first climbed in July 1894 by J. Erlsbacher, presumably together with V. Ladstätter, over the east ridge.
location
The Finsterkarspitze lies in the west of the Lasörling group and consists of the south-east or main summit ( 3029 m above sea level ) and the north-west summit ( 3028 m above sea level ). The double summit is separated from the Gösleswand ( 2912 m above sea level ) by the Rote Lenke ( 2794 m above sea level ) in the northwest , the east ridge runs over the Dürrfeldscharte ( 2900 m above sea level ) to the Dürrfeldeck ( 2977 m above sea level) . A. ) and to the Stampfleskopf ( 3071 m above sea level ). From the main summit, the south ridge branches off to the Kesselpater ( 2985 m above sea level ), with the Finsterkarscharte ( 2954 m above sea level ) lying between the two peaks . To the south of the Finsterkarspitze lies the Trojeralmtal , to the north is the beginning of the Kleinbach valley.
Promotion opportunities
The most popular variant leads from the Neue Reichenberger Hütte via the south-west ascent, with the ascent from the Finsterkar via a rubble flank ( I ). There are two differently difficult variants on the north-west ridge, the easier one initially leading in the direction of the Rote Lenke, but branching off halfway into the Finsterkarboden and then leading into a notch from which you can reach the summit on the ridge ( I ). The more difficult variant leads from the Reichenberger Hütte into the Rote Lenke and then along the entire northwest ridge ( II ) to the summit. Further variants consist of the Finsterkarscharte over the short south ridge along steep slabs to the southeast summit ( I ) and from the Dürrfeldscharte over the east ridge (Faule Ader) ( I-II ).
