Fiorella Bonicelli
Fiorella Bonicelli (born December 21, 1951 ) is a former tennis player from Uruguay .
Career
Bonicelli won the competition in women's doubles at the French Open in 1976 with her doubles partner, the French Gail Sherriff . In the final they defeated Kathy Harter and Helga Masthoff 6: 4, 1: 6, 6: 3. The year before, she had won the mixed doubles competition in Paris with the Brazilian Thomaz Koch .
Only once in her career did she reach the quarter-finals of a Grand Slam tournament in singles, but she was defeated by the eventual winner Virginia Ruzici at the 1978 French Open .
Bonicelli's record in the Fed Cup shows eleven wins and four defeats in singles, and a ratio of 6: 8 in doubles.
