Fish & Richardson PC is a US / German law firm . Fish & Richardson has offices in ten US cities and, since 2007, a first European office in Munich. Fish & Richardson currently employs over 350 patent attorneys and attorneys.

History

Founded in Boston in 1878 by Frederick P. Fish . The firm has represented some of the greatest US inventors over the years, including Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, and the Wright brothers. Among the inventions registered in the USA, which were supported by Fish & Richardson in the granting process, are the inventions of the telephone, the air brake, the steam engine, the automobile and the radio.

Due to the global recession, Fish & Richardson announced in May 2009 that it would cut 120 employees.
