Fisnik Ismaili

Fisnik Ismaili (born June 3, 1973 in Pristina , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Kosovar-Albanian advertiser , designer and politician. He is currently a member of the Kosovar parliament for the Lëvizja Vetëvendosje party ! . He is particularly known for the design of the Newborn Monument in Pristina , which was inaugurated on Kosovo's Independence Day in 2008.

In Pristina he attended the Sami-Frasheri high school . After graduating, he moved to London with his then partner . At the University of Westminster , he studied media informatics , from which he graduated with a bachelor's degree. He received his master's degree from Robert Gordon University , where he studied corporate communications and public relations. During the Kosovo War , he was a guerrilla fighter with the UÇK in the Koshare area , with Agim Çeku , Agim Ramadani and Sylejman Selimi , among others .

Ismaili worked as creative director at Ogilvy Kosova , later at the advertising agency Karrota Sh.pk, which he co-founded and which is one of the most successful advertising agencies in Kosovo. The Newborn Monument has won several international awards, including awards at the Clio Awards Festival in Miami and the Golden Lion at the Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival . Initially 2010s published several years via Facebook critical policy Satire - cartoons under the title "The Pimpsons".

Political career

Fisnik Ismaili was involved in the founding of the Fryma e Re party , which was initiated by Shpend Ahmeti and other Harvard graduates and took part in the  parliamentary elections in Kosovo in 2010/2011  , but did not reach the five percent threshold. On March 31, 2011, Fryma e Re merged with the citizens' movement Lëvizja Vetëvendosje!
