Five Minute Fall is a melodic hardcore / punk group from Salzburg . They are influenced by bands like boysetsfire and Defeater , but have their own sound.

history

After several conversations in Salzburg in January 2010 and after song demos were sent out and found to be good, Jürgen Maurer and Martin Reiter were able to engage lead guitarist Simon Paulus, who already played with Reiter in the band By The Ocean. Bernhard Breidler, then drummer at Noise4Nothing and Nuda, and Patrick Neulinger, the ex-bassist of Below Zero, were also convinced to found their own band. Breidler had to leave the band due to his other band commitments after working out the first songs. Then Stefan took his place and the first songs could be played live. The sound of Five Minute Fall convinced many fans in a short time. The first EP was recorded a year after it was founded. In August 2011 Patrick and Stefan left the band for personal reasons. At this point it was clear to the well-rehearsed troupe to bring Breidler back into the band. In addition, Christoph Roither was hired as a bassist.

In September 2011, the newly formed band began to work out the existing songs and to write new songs, with the aim of recording the first album in January 2012. Within only four months, the band managed to rehearse a total of eight songs in order to record the album Close to Collapse with the drummer of The Blackout Argument Philip Seidl . During this time, the deafcult records label became aware of the band and in April 2012 a release show followed, followed by a 10-day European tour with stops in Austria , the Czech Republic , Serbia , Croatia and Germany . In the meantime they have already been on stage with bands like Hot Water Music , boysetsfire , A Wilhelm Scream and Death Before Dishonor and played at the internationally known Metalfest in Braunau. In October 2012 guitarist Paulus and bassist Roither left the band for professional reasons. By the end of 2012, two new members had been announced publicly: Christoph Pucher, former lead guitarist of Tempted to Deception and Jimbo Jones as bassist, guitarist of the black metal band Karg and singer of the black metal band Harakiri for the Sky .

At the beginning of 2015 the second album Centuries Wasted was released on the newly founded label Ride + Hun . In mid-2015 the album was finally released on vinyl.

After several tours through Europe, the band announced their breakup in November 2015. On May 28, 2016, the band's last show took place in Salzburg.
