Flag of Vojvodina
The flag of the autonomous province of Vojvodina in northern Serbia is three-colored and with horizontal stripes. Its color is based on the Serbian flag , but the blue stripe in the middle is many times wider than the red above and the white below. In addition, in the middle of the flag, on the blue stripe, there are three yellow, five-pointed stars. They are arranged in a triangle - two stars form the base - and are supposed to stand for the three parts of Vojvodina: Bačka , Banat and Srem . In addition, they are intended to symbolize the aspiration of the citizens of Vojvodina to belong to the European Union.
The flag was officially declared the provincial flag in the parliamentary session of the autonomous province of Vojvodina on February 27, 2004.
