Prince Edward Island flag
The flag of Prince Edward Island is a banner modeled on the provincial coat of arms . The flag has the proportions 3: 2; the three sides facing away from the flagpole are alternately bounded by red and white ribbons.
The upper third shows a golden leopard , which corresponds to the one on the coat of arms of England . On the two lower thirds there are three oak saplings on the left (symbol for the three districts of the island) and on the right an oak (symbol for Great Britain ).
The flag was introduced on March 24, 1964.
