This list shows and explains the flags and coats of arms of the provinces of Argentina .

In Argentina , there was no consistent tradition of the provinces to fly a flag for a long time . Most provinces have only recently had a flag. Many provinces had flags much earlier, but they were often not in use for decades. Since 2011, each province has had its own flag, and each province also has a coat of arms .

Several provinces take up the design of the national symbol in their province symbols.

The coat of arms of the province is almost identical to the coat of arms of Argentina, it only differs in the rays of the sun, which are exclusively straight, and the branches that surround the coat of arms ( olive and laurel ).
