Florea Martinovici ( April 19, 1940 - June 16, 2011 ) was a Romanian football player .

Athletic career

Martinovici began his career with Jiul Petroșani , for the club he played in both Divizia A and Divizia B in the early 1960s . In April 1967 he became the national team players in the Romanian national team , for which he on his debut at 7: 0 victory over Cyprus as part of the qualification for the 1968 European Championship in addition to the three times successful Emil Dumitru , the double goal scorers Ion Ionescu and Mircea Lucescu his first and scored only international goal. In the summer of that year he moved to CS Universitatea Craiova in the top division , during his time there he played his second and last international game in the fall of 1968 in the 2-0 win over Switzerland on the occasion of qualifying for the 1970 World Cup finals . The greatest success in the championship was reaching fourth place in the table in the 1969/70 season , which resulted in qualification for the European Cup . In the Messestädte-Pokal 1970/71 , however, he was eliminated from the competition with the team in the first round against the Hungarian club Pécsi Dózsa SC . In 1972 he left the club after five seasons.
