Florencio Salazar Adame

Florencio Salazar Adame (born April 5, 1948 in Chilpancingo , Guerrero ) is a Mexican ambassador .

Life

Florencio Salazar had a leading role in the Partido Revolucionario Institucional in the Municipio Chilpancingo de los Bravos, where he sat in the Council of the Municipios in two terms and was district administrator for one term. In the election for the 55th legislative period of the Mexican parliament he was a candidate for the PRI to succeed him in the first constituency of Guerrero. In 1999 he became Secretario General de Gobierno in the Cabinet of the Governor of René Juárez Cisneros .

On March 15, 2000, Florencio Salazar Adame moved from the Partido Revolucionario Institucional to the Partido Acción Nacional (Mexico) and was appointed federal coordinator for his supporters in the presidential election campaign by Vicente Fox .

Fox appointed Salazar as the coordinator of Planes-Puebla-Panama when he took office in 2000 . Fox presented the Plan-Puebla-Panama (PPP) on a tour of the affected states on September 12, 2000. The Plan-Puebla-Panama is the complementary infrastructure project to the plans for neoliberal economic integration of Mesoamerica . The sparse information about the PPP was controversial until the name was changed to Proyecto Mesoamérica and Fox, Salazar appointed to his cabinet in 2003 as Minister of the Secretaría de la Reforma Agraria .

From April 21, 2006 Florencio Salazar Adame took part in the election campaign of Felipe Calderón . From April 21, 2006 to January 27, 2008 he was State Secretary for Population, Migration and Religious Affairs in the Secretaría de Gobernación . From May 27, 2008 to June 2, 2013 he was the Mexican Ambassador to Colombia.
