Florian Jung (born March 20, 1982 in Füssen ) is a former German ice hockey striker who was under contract with SC Bietigheim-Bissingen in the 2nd Bundesliga and the DEG Metro Stars in the DEL . He ended his career after the 2008/09 season as the reigning champions of the 2nd Bundesliga.

Career

Florian Jung started playing ice hockey in his hometown at EV Füssen . His first professional station, however, was in the 2001/02 season of SC Bietigheim-Bissingen . At that time, he moved to the 2nd Bundesliga together with his friend Michael Wolf . After two successful years in the second highest division, he moved to the German ice hockey league with the DEG Metro Stars . Jung celebrated his greatest success there by winning the runner-up and winning the DEB Cup in 2005/06 . He then moved back to Bietigheim-Bissingen for the next three years . Jung celebrated the greatest success of his career in his last professional game. In the 2008/09 season he won the second division championship with the Bietigheim Steelers.

Florian Jung took part in the U20 World Junior Championship in 2001 and 2002 .
