Florian Neuhold (born July 6, 1993 in Frankfurt am Main ) is an Austrian soccer player .

Career

Florian Neuhold grew up in Weinitzen near Graz and played football at the youth sports club in Mariatrost from an early age . In 2004, although he was an avowed fan of the SK Sturm , he moved to the GAK due to the easier journey . Despite numerous offers, including from abroad, he stayed with GAK until 2008 and then switched to city rival Sturm Graz.

In the 2009/10 season, the defensive all-rounder was already part of the Sturm Academy's U19 team, although he could still have played in the U17 and made his debut in the SK Sturm amateur team on October 2, 2009. In April 2010, the tall young star played for the first time with the combat team in a friendly. After he blossomed into defense chief of the amateur team the following year, being called up to the professional squad for the 2011/12 season came as little surprise. On June 26, 2011, Florian Neuhold made his competitive debut in the fighting team in the course of the Champions League qualifier against FC Zestafoni .

In the winter of 2013 Neuhold moved to SCR Altach in the second highest Austrian league and was a regular there for some time. When SCR Altach was promoted to the Bundesliga, however, he was given the option to leave the club. IN the summer of 2014 Neuhold moved to LASK Linz , who had been promoted to the second division in the previous season.

On June 15, Florian Neuhold moved back to the Austrian Bundesliga for FC Admira Wacker Mödling .

In February 2016 he was awarded to the second division team SK Austria Klagenfurt .

In September 2016, after his contract with LASK had not been extended, he moved to Germany to the second team of Eintracht Braunschweig , where he received a contract that was valid until June 2017.

For the 2017/18 season he joined the third division club FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt , with whom he received a contract valid until June 2019.

National team

Florian Neuhold made his first game in a national team on October 14, 2008 in a U16 friendly against the Czech Republic. He went through all youth national teams of the ÖFB, up to the U19 he was always captain.
