Florian Süssmayr

Florian Süssmayr (* 1963 in Munich ) is a German painter.

Life

In the 1980s, Süssmayr was active in the punk scene and a member of the Freizeit 81 action group . He performed with the avant-garde band Lorenz Lorenz in a duo with Lorenz Schröter . He then worked for five years at the Munich Film Museum . In the 1990s he became a lighting technician and cameraman . He was in the films, Am I beautiful? and The Dead Maker involved. Since 1997 he has devoted himself to oil painting . His pictures have been shown in galleries in Munich, Tokyo and New York, among others. For the film In Winter One Year , he made the central painting of the siblings represented by Karoline Herfurth and Cyril Sjöström . In 2015 Armin Kratzert made a documentary about Süssmayr: Florian Süssmayr solo album .
