Florian Schmidt-Gahlen (born May 5, 1980 in Dorsten ) is a German theater and film actor .

Life

Florian Schmidt-Gahlen grew up in Dorsten and attended the St. Ursula high school there .

Theater and cabaret

From 2002 to 2006 he completed an apprenticeship at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich . In 2005 he attended the film acting seminar at the Ludwigsburg Film Academy . He had his first engagement from 2006 to 2008 at the Freiburg Theater . In 2010 and 2011 he played the leading roles in Debt and Atonement and Two Poor Romanians at the Kammerspiele in Munich . He was also engaged at the theaters in Krefeld , Augsburg and Aachen as well as at the Theater an der Rott and the Dortmund Opera.

Schmidt-Gahlen plays the piano and trumpet. His musical cabaret program MusiKahlschlag has been nominated for numerous cabaret prizes. In 2013 he was a guest on the television show NightWash .

Movie and TV

In addition to his work as a theater actor, Florian Schmidt-Gahlen can mainly be seen in cinema and television productions. 2007 he played in the Grimme Award winning film The Real Life of Alain Gsponer the role of Schroeter . Schmidt-Gahlen also played in several university and short films.
