Florian Zimmer (born May 3, 1983 in Ulm ) is a German magician and illusionist .

Life

Zimmer is the only German magician to date to have received the “Golden Lion Award” from Siegfried and Roy . In 2005 he became European champion of magic.

Florian Zimmer performed privately for Michael Jackson in his villa. He develops special effects for Janet Jackson . Florian Zimmer developed the entire magical content for the Red Bull Flying Illusion arena tour.

Smash it! live or die

On September 15, 2007, Florian Zimmer was tied up in a straitjacket and chains on Münsterplatz in Ulm . He was locked in a wooden box that was set on fire and over which a monster truck was also floating. Florian Zimmer was able to free himself from his prison within a minute.

Buried alive

On March 24th, 2011, the birthday of Houdini , Florian Zimmer had himself lowered into a glass coffin in a construct made of glass blocks on the market square in Ulm. The room was filled with earth from above. In this "grave" he spent three days without food. Passers-by could watch him through glass windows 24 hours a day. On the third day, Florian Zimmer ended the stunt with an illusion by floating out of his “burial chamber”. The liberation was a tribute to Houdini, who was the first magician to be buried alive.
