The Batumi International Airport ( Georgian ბათუმის საერთაშორისო აეროპორტი , batumis saertaschoriso aeroporti , English Batumi International Airport ) is the third largest commercial airport in Georgia . It is located about four kilometers southwest of downtown Batumi . Batumi Airport is one of three international airports in Georgia. The airport opened on May 26, 2007. With a total area of ​​3915 square meters (42,140 m²) the handling of over 600,000 passengers per year is possible.
