The Bulawayo Airport ( english Bulawayo Airport , officially Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport ) is the international passenger airport of the Zimbabwean city of Bulawayo . It is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority of Zimbabwe (CAAZ) .

The airport was named after Joshua Nkomo , the founder of the Zimbabwe African People's Union and Vice President of Zimbabwe from 1988 to 1999.

Airlines and connections

Since March 2, 2015, Zimbabwe has been connecting flyafrica Bulawayo with Johannesburg daily . Before that, Air Botswana flew to Gaborone , Air Zimbabwe to Lanseria , Harare and Victoria Falls as well as Airlink to Johannesburg and Proflight Zambia to Ndola , Livingstone and Lusaka in Zambia .
