The airport Essaouira , also known as Airport Essaouira - Mogador known, a Moroccan airport near the located on the Atlantic coast 85,000-inhabitant city Essaouira . The old Portuguese name for Essaouira is "Mogador".

The airport, which is currently only equipped with a paved runway, is also regularly used for passenger traffic. The flag carrier of the African state, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), and its regional subsidiary Royal Air Maroc Express are currently flying from Mogador to Agadir and Casablanca inland and to Paris in France. Transavia will include Essaouira in its flight schedule for the first time on March 1, 2013 , connecting Essaouira with Paris-Orly Airport twice a week - Ryanair will follow in May 2013 with two other destinations, Marseille and Charleroi .
