Preliminary round

HK Irtysch Pawlodar , Gornjak Rudny and HK Saryarka Karaganda prevailed in the preliminary round . Satpajew and Rudny both did not lose points, but did not meet each other in their ten and six games respectively. The two reserve teams of the big clubs from Ust-Kamenogorsk and Astana had no chance and clearly missed the final round, as did Jenbek Almaty .

The HK Kasachmys Satpajew decided after the twelfth game day to withdraw his second team from the championship. The new club leadership saw no value in funding a reserve team for training purposes, the majority of which consisted of Russian players. The club's remaining games were each rated with three points and 0-0 goals for the opponent.
