The 2016/17 season was the 25th season of the Kazakh ice hockey professional league . A total of ten teams took part in the game. Champion became the second team of the KHL club Barys Astana with Nomad Astana .

mode

In the main round, each of the ten teams played a total of 54 games. The top eight teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out.

Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after overtime or shootout, one point for a defeat after overtime or shootout and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
