The 2016/17 season was the 66th season of the Bulgarian Ice Hockey League , the highest Bulgarian ice hockey league . The SK Irbis-Skate from Sofia became champion for the second time .

Attendees

At the beginning five teams took part in the league. In addition to the participants from the previous year, HK Levski Sofia took part again. However, this withdrew after the fourth game day.

mode

In the main round, each of the five teams should have played a total of twelve games. Due to the withdrawal of HK Levski after four match days, each of the remaining teams only played ten games (three against the three remaining teams and one against HK Levski). While HK Levski Sofia was deleted from the table, his games were rated for the other teams (14: 0 for CSKA, 12: 0 for NSA and 5: 0 without a fight for Irbis-Skate and Slavia). The first place in the main round was champion. Each team received three points for a win, two points for a win after overtime, one point for a defeat and zero points for a defeat.
