The 1992/93 season was the first season of the Kazakh professional ice hockey league . Three clubs made up of four teams took part in the competition. Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk secured the title of the Kazakh Master , which was played for the first time .

There was no representative from the capital, Alma-Ata , as Jenbek Alma-Ata had withdrawn its team.

The four participants played in a triple round, so that each team came up with nine games. The team with the most points secured the championship in the end.

For a win in the regular playing time of 60 minutes, a team received two points, the losing opponent received nothing. In the event of a tie, each team received one point.

After the nine rounds, Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk confidently secured the championship title. The club, which the year before had played as the only team in Kazakhstan in the Vysschaya League , remained undefeated and only parted once with a draw. Behind them, Awtomobilist Karaganda and HK Bulat Temirtau took the following places. The second agency of Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk took fourth and last place.

Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk and Awtomobilist Karaganda played in parallel in the International Hockey League during the season .
