The 2009/10 season was the 18th season of the Kazakh ice hockey professional league . The main round started with eight teams on September 25, 2009 and ended on March 23, 2010. This was followed by the playoffs , the winner of which HK Saryarka Karaganda was Kazakh champions for the first time .
mode
In the main round , the teams met eight times, each team playing 56 games.
For a win in the regular playing time of 60 minutes, a team received three points, the defeated opponent received nothing. When winning in overtime or in the shootout , a team only received two points, while the loser still received one point.
After the regular season, the playoffs followed , for which the four teams with the highest points qualified. The playoff round was played in the best-of-five mode.
