Alexei Sergejewitsch Ivanov ( Russian Алексей Сергеевич Иванов ; born May 4, 1988 in Omsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Kazakh - Russian ice hockey goalkeeper who has been playing for HK Poprad in the Slovakian extra league since 2017 .

Career

Alexei Ivanov began his career in the third Russian division with the second team of HK Awangard Omsk . In 2008 he moved to the Russian second division club Juschny Ural Orsk , where he played three games in the Wysschaja Liga . Another station was the Kazakh team HK Saryarka Karaganda , with whom he won the Kazakh championship. In addition, he achieved the best catch quota and the lowest goal average of the 2009/10 season . In 2010 he was signed by the Kazakh KHL team Barys Astana for three seasons, but released from this contract in July 2012 after two years of play.

He spent the 2012/13 season with Jermak Angarsk in the Wysschaja Hockey League and convinced there with excellent statistical values, he achieved the lowest goal average and the best catch rate in the playoffs, so that in July 2013 he received a contract with HK Spartak Moscow . After only one season in the Russian capital, he moved back to Astana, where, in addition to his appearances in the KHL at Barys, he was mainly used for Nomad , the club's second team, in the Kazakh championship .

In the 2016/17 season he played for Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk in the Wysschaja Hockey League before moving to Slovakia to HK Poprad in the 2017/18 season.

International

Ivanov was in the can for the Kazakh national ice hockey team at the World Championships in the top division in 2012 and 2014 .
