The 2004/05 season was the 13th season of the Kazakh ice hockey professional league . Seven clubs, which made up a total of eight teams, took part in the competition. The title of Kazakh champion was secured for the twelfth time by the Kaszink Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk . Ust-Kamenogorsk won the championship title for the sixth time in a row.

The eight participants played in a quadruple round, so that each team had 28 games. The team with the most points secured the championship in the end.
For a win in the regular playing time of 60 minutes, a team received three points, the defeated opponent received nothing. In the event of a tie, it was the first time ever to go into extra time . If there was no goal and it remained a tie, each team received one point. If there was a hit, the winner received two points, the loser had to be satisfied with one.

After the 28 rounds, Kaszink-Torpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk secured the championship title with a five-point lead over Kasachmys Karaganda . The Ust-Kamenogorsk team won 25 of their 28 games and thus defended the title. Kasachmys Karaganda won the runner-up title for the second time. Last year's runner-up, Gornjak Rudny , came third. Kasachmys Karaganda let his second team take part in the championship operation. She finished sixth at the end of the season. The HK CSKA Temirtau had after the end of the 14th game day play activities completely set, as the Kazakh Ministry of Defense, the ice rink in Temirtau until further concluded.
