Andrei Gavrilin ( Russian Андрей Юрьевич Гаврилин * 24. July 1978 in Karaganda , Kazakh SSR ) is a former Kazakh hockey players , who from 2007 to 2015 for Barys Astana in the Continental Hockey League played.

Career

Andrei Gawrilin began his career as a hockey player in the youth department of the HK Awangard Omsk , for whose professional team he made his debut in the Russian Super League in the 1997/98 season . After he had started the following season with Omsk's second team in the third-class Pervaya League , the attacker first switched to HK tractor Chelyabinsk from the Super League. He then went to his league rivals HK Lipetsk , with whom he relegated in 2000 to the second-rate Wysschaja Liga . He was active there with his team until 2004. He then received a contract with Kasachmys Karaganda in his Kazakh homeland, with whom he won the double of championship and cup in the 2005/06 season . After the team moved to Satbayev following this success, Gavrilin was able to repeat the 2007 cup victory with Kazakhmys.

In the summer of 2007, Gawrilin received a contract with Barys Astana , for which he was initially active for a year in the Vysschaya League. From the 2008/09 season he was on the ice for the team in the Continental Hockey League before ending his career in July 2015.

International

For the Kazakh national ice hockey team , Gawrilin took part in the World Championships of Division I in 2007 , 2008 , 2009 and 2011 and the top division in 2010 and 2014 . He was also in his country's squad for the qualifying tournaments for the Winter Olympics in Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014 . At the Winter Asian Games 2011 he won the title with the Kazakhs with a 4-1 win in the decisive game against Japan .
